GGG Card Game: I'm surprised they haven't released one, yet.
Given Chris' infamous interest in MTG, in addition to the rise of deckbuilding games over the years, it's surprising to me that they haven't combined the possible complexity of cardgames with the depth of crafting systems GGG is known for.
Rather than a deckbuilding game, were you just add/remove pre-designed cards to your deck, they could create a cardbuilding game where you can alter all individual cards - their cost, stats, card text, keywords, categories, ... Most commonly known TCG already offer dozens, if not hundreds of different playstyles already. Now imagine how many different deck archetypes one could create with custom itemization of each card and their synergies. They could use basically the same itemization system they have in POE. Normal cards just have the card's base type effect (e.g. 'Flying' from MTG or 'Taunt' from Hearthstone). Magic cards have an additional effect (= mod), e.g. a Battlecry or Aura effect. Rare cards can have two mods. Unique cards have mod combinations that other cards can't have in that combination. Using currency items alters a card's mods (= card text), stats, ... You grind to get more cards / currency items to upgrade your collected cards and can use these new cards to build new archetypes. Cardgames are known for their replayability. It'd fit GGG's design goals perfectly. I'd play the heck out of that! Last edited by PraceAce#2900 on Aug 25, 2022, 10:42:53 AM Last bumped on Aug 25, 2022, 7:15:17 PM

I always thought Divination Cards were a card game of itself. I can totally see what you are talking about though.
