Archnemesis is the worst thing that happened to this game

archnemesis made me quit the game. 3rd league in a row i quit in the first week. only 7 challenge done. Archnemesis mod are way too overtuned. Playing as an ignite build 80 % of the rare have either flameweaver flamestrider or incendiary if not 2 or more together. spending 15 min killing an essence or red beast archnemesis is the worst experience ive had playing a game. the fight isnt even difficult. its just a damage sponge. dodge and fire skill for 15 min with no reward at the end. starting a ritual while spawning toxic and magma barrier mob is just trash. having to keep moving to dodge green an red ball of shit while using a self cast skill is just trash.lets not even talk about the AN mod that spawn lightning totem worst thing ever gameplaywise.

Archnemesis league (3.17) was actually OK. You could choose to build those monsters but you didn't had to. It was completely fine to just ignore this league mechanic altogether. And many people did, becaue the UI was awful. Fragments didn't stack, you couldn't store them in regular stash and the league-specific stash was tiny.

Problems started with 3.18 where they shoveled Archnemesis into the ENTIRE DAMN GAME. From Act 1 until the most difficult map imaginable. They also shoveled those into leagues that had its own difficulty scaling, such as Delve, Heist, Blight or Expedition.

It's not fun to prep your Expedition encounter with say, monsters have 50% chance to block and monsters avoid 30% damage from hits. And then some bullshit archnemesis rare pops out that has a bunch of mods stacking on top of your Expedition mods, making it fucking unkillable. I have 50% resist pierce, 36% exposure and additional 44% pierce from Conductivity and it's still not enough to push through layers of resistance created by two or three lightning-themed modifiers stacking up. Let alone this stacking with +30% ele res expedition pillar.

Archnemesis is OK for generic map monsters. Even for leagues that don't use their own set of modifiers and difficulty scalars. But combining those with Essence, Bestiary, Torment, Expedition - this is just too much. You're REQUIRING players to build insane wtfpwning meta builds just to kill a fucking rare monster in a regular map.

Also I feel like this name "Arch Nemesis" should imply that SOME rare monsters have those buffs. They should be uncommon. These are true Arch Enemies you need to work for to kill - and get rewarded if you do. Not every yellow monster under the sun.

sounds like you don't understand how the game works and don't want to experiment to figure it out but instead just want to be given loot for logging in so bye
