Blood Rage not refreshing

Every time I activate Blood Rage, it counts down from 8 to 0 and does not refresh no matter how many kills I get. The description says the buff should refresh when I get a kill.

" Are you killing anything? Kills by traps, minions, mines, totems etc. do not count as you killing the monster (unless it's killed by damage over time). |

Yes, I'm using GC BF which I've used for the past 3 leagues. Even if the shadow warriors don't count, I use CWC with cyclone/desecrate to make corpses. So I kill with cyclone as well. Normally, I hit Blood Rage once and it refreshes until I stop killing. This league, it doesn't. Granted, I'm running through the acts still. I suppose it could be something in the ascendancy except the gem says it refreshes without any conditions.

Don't know what happened, but now it's refreshing properly.
