Hivebrain Glands shot way up when the patch preview mentioned that the fight would now grant Graftblood, and stayed up there for a while after the patch went live. Guess they’ve come back down now that enough people have learned that they only give like 2k Graftblood.

Ahh.

Not sure how the 3:1 being disabled would affect Ancient prices. You could only 3:1 ones with the same Foulborn mod, and you always got back one with that same mod. So you couldn’t, for example, fish for the 20 Div explodey Witchbane by vendoring the 3c curse duration one. Were there any Foulborn uniques that “rerolling” the same Foulborn mod for a different value via 3:1 was profitable?

Oh, I assumed any 3 foulborns with the same base type could be turned in. Yea. The drop in Ancient prices is now ???. Maybe they'll come back up?
I've been having fun a lot of fun this league as Whispering Ice. What's some thoughts about swapping Rational Doctrine out for a Megalomaniac with Cold to the Core, Blanketed Snow, and Unspeakable Gifts? Just finding one of those in league is so rare and it's probably not worth for pure bossing but that seems like it could be a better way to scale than taking another polymoth node that we just runegraft to for a little more %damage that we don't really need.

Also I had to try to foulborn WI, and it feels terrible sadly.
Are you asking about putting the Megalomaniac in the jewel socket where we normally put Rational Doctrine and getting a third Cold to the Core, a third Blanketed Snow, and a 10% chance to go boom? Or are you suggesting replacing entirely the CttC/BS Large Cluster that contains that jewel slot?

If the former, you’re replacing something that costs 1 passive point (the jewel socket) with something that costs five points (the socket, plus the four Megalomaniac passive nodes, one of which does nothing).

If the latter, you’re also losing the other jewel socket where Natural Affinity lives, which means giving up our double damage chance, extra defenses while stationary, and Corrupted Blood immunity. You’d get back a few points from the small passives to try to pick up a jewel socket elsewhere, but there's not really another one in range. You'd also lose the Large Cluster’s innate cold damage boost and the ability to fill gaps in your resists/stats via attribute/resist mods on the Large Cluster's small passives.

I'm asking if it's worth to put the Megalomaniac in the place of the Rational Doctrine, not replacing any large clusters.

Technically we'd be allocating 4 skill points in the megalomaniac, considering the jewel slot itself was already owned. For those three notables though, I'm wondering if it could be worth to drop the doom cast skill points nearby.

Haven't done any POB stuff for it though. I like this build cause of how tanky and easy it is, but the damage for mapping feels fairly lackluster - clear speed being irrelevant to me.
I put a 5% increased intelligence, 10% explode chance Megalomaniac in place of rational doctrine and not pathing toward Doom Cast with the last ~4 passive points. I think it is Genius and Unspeakable Gifts on the Mega. This seems perfectly fine and feels ok. The explode at 10% is not the greatest but I can tell it clears slightly quicker. Especially in stuff like Harbinger/Beyond where you have a ton of enemies all at once.

Once I hit level 100 I plan on switching to Doom Cast and ditching the Mega jewel though and switching to Rational and tattoo in the Doom Cast mastery. But in the interim it doesn't feel like a bad option for the time you spend getting from around 96 to 100.
