How about this, leagues will last 6 or 9 months but new leagues will still release. I do not see issue with that.

You'd have
Standard(The current dead mode)
Extended league(Which I believe would be at very least more popular than standard)
and New League(the mode where things are actually happening and no matter what most people will play this)

game would gain players that take break between leagues
lose some standard players(0-0=0 so nothing changes)
and lose few league players.

One of issues with 3m league is that everyone wants to play at the start, but no one wants to make character in middle/end because new players are not coming and league is ending so soon there is no time to finish build.
and this solves it.

Theres no issue with 3 months? if you dont have time to play this game but got very little time to play like 1 hour every day then just go play something else like diablo 3 for example its perfect game for people with little time to play this game was meant to be grindy as heck i mean the company is literally called GRINDING GEAR GAMES it was meant to be hard and grindy and i guarentee you the vast majority of players rather see league every 3 months even if it means theres bugs here and there and they patch up the league as it goes rather than playing league for 2 months then wait 4 months

i own transendence wings wich cost me 64$ and yet the wings you get from challenge rewards i want them more so il be doing again 40/40 for sure

Do love the tiered reward system this way more people get pieces and drive people more to get more challenges done.

The rewards are actually nice, shiny and reward even people that do not do many.
