Action Speed vs Movement Speed

I always thought action speed was just a generic name for the speed of anything performed by a player, including movement and attacks, spells etc...

But upon reading the wiki, it's not so clear to me anymore :
"
A character's action speed determines the relative rate at which its animations play, thereby affecting the overall speed that their actions are performed. All of the character's actions that have an animated component are affected by their action speed. This includes moving, attacking, casting spells, throwing traps and mines, shouting warcries, summoning totems, and recovering from stuns.

Modifiers to action speed have a multiplicative effect on a character in conjunction with stats that affect the speed of specific actions, such as movement speed, attack speed, cast speed and stun recovery. Action speed does not directly modify such stats though. This distinction is relevant for game mechanics that care about any discrete modifiers to those stats. For example, the brand activation frequency of Arcanist Brand is affected by modifiers to the character's cast speed; whereas it is not affected by modifiers to the character's action speed.

So if I understand correctly, Action speed is a multiplier on top of other, more specific speeds, like Movement speed.
Which means that an effect lowering Movement speed to zero, for instance, will result in an effective Movement speed of zero, no matter how much Action speed you might have.

See that worries me a little bit, since I planned to play the new Trickster ascendancy this league, but I can't help but notice it only affects Action speed, unlike the Juggernaut ascendancy, which affects Action speed AND Movement speed...

Can anyone clarify the actual difference between Trickster and Juggernaut in classic situations like vs freeze, vs temp chains, vs tar ground etc... ?
Please. No more labyrinth.

You just have to check the wording of whatever effect you are looking for. Chill, freeze and temp chains affect your action speed so Trickster will be able to ignore them. Tar ground and grasping vines only affect movement speed so they will still apply to Trickster.
