Did GGG forgot about timeless jewels?
" Not really but ok. Almost all items have the potential to drop corrupted situationally or be corrupted via currency/temple/strongbox. Not sure what "violation" you are talking about. "Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt."

the sensible conclusion to that problem is to just make them drop corrupted rather than making a huge change to the entire game.
Timeless jewels are in the exact same boat as all the uniques they reworked with large modifier ranges, it creates high value for the best ones and low value for the worst which was their intent. So In a way you can lump them in with everything else but it isn't timeless jewels specifically as that problem could very easily be addressed. |

someone broke the code and to figure out how to see what they do. Right after this happened

Is this a new version of "divine/exalt switch bad"? This is original.

" Forget? They intentionally destroyed them... Thats what GGG does, no buffs ever under any circumstance, only nerfs and game destruction |

" considering tools were allowing people to have like 300% increased damage many believe the timeless jewels are specifically WHY they did the exalt exchange |

Nobody used divines to do that its dumb to think its why, divine spam on timeless jewels was to roll the right keystone or as a I'm super bored currency sink like shako.
At no point did players go oh Caspiro 178090 is great, I'm gonna use 8700 divines (average) to hit the right one. Yes its easier for players to check if their dropped one sucks or not now, but it was already possible to do that for your character it just took longer. " The principle that items drop in a normal state. Borderline all items work like that, and when items don't drop in a normal state, it's because of an external modifier, that's usually thematic to the state (typically vaal and the attached corruption, or now Kalandra and her mirror theme). Timeless jewels are jewels like any other, just unique and with a broad seed, so them dropping only corrupted would violate how the drop system works. That's something GGG would never do. | |
there are plenty of examples of items they set to corrupted so we can't roll them, heist trinkets are a big one, voices, megalomanic etc.
It doesn't violate anything, they do it whenever they wanted an item to have specific value tied to its range or drop conditions so it can't be rerolled. Exactly like timeless jewels except they didn't make the change because it wasn't the reason why they did it. Switching the currencies to address timeless jewels would be the development equivalent of making the most work to fix a trivial problem stop suggesting it, the conspiracy theorists believe it because they have put zero thought into any part of it other than LUL the timing.
