cyclone quali: buggy or not measurable
i just did some test with a quality(20%) and a nonquality cyclone
20%quali gives 20% increased area of effect. i tried to prove this with hitting crates in twilight strand i used a two handed weapon and speced into "master of the arena" to ensure maximum effect of the 20% increased AE. i placed my character always in the same angle to the crate and checked the distance with reference-pixels (my helmet vs a edge of the crate) after that i always cycloned straight away from the crate. my results: i) you cant place your character everywhere, there seems to be a grid, tho it seems the cells are very small. (or at least i cant place my character everywhere, maybe i just always clicked at weird points, but thats not very likely) ii) the qualitybonus doesnt work: there is no measurable increase in range. i could not hit the crate from a greater distance with the 20% cyclone compared to the zero% cyclone Last edited by Khastro#7367 on Apr 12, 2013, 12:56:49 PM

I think the range is 4 with one handed weapons so that 20% is doing jack shit in the way of range. I realised this after wasting 6 gcp in buying and levelling up my cyclone.
You would need to start as a duelist and get the +2 range node then use inc are gem, carcass jack, 20% quality cyclone and the aoe nodes in the middle of the tree to really see the difference The range just sucks, but getting stopped mid cyclone and not being able to cast cyclone because some tiny art on the map is in your way is worse |
