Near immortality with new cloak of flames?
Eyes of the great wolf can have two mods that convert 100% of lightning to fire and 100% cold to fire.
Can get phys to fire from: cloak 40% dawnbreaker (shield) 20% watchers eye (purity of fire + purity of elements) 22% Helm (e.g. warlords) 10% If chieftain ascendancy additional 20% lvl 23 purity of fire gets you +5 max fire res before any aura effect. There is +5 max fire or all res around the chieftain area. eldritch implicit on boots (or is it gloves) for +2 cluster passive molten ones mark +2 each so all you would need to worry about would be chaos (could go CI but probably doesn't make sense with most of the other stuff you need) and any DoTs. Am I missing something or is this near immortal? Last bumped on Aug 9, 2022, 8:45:41 AM

Cloak actually helps with dots too (bleed anyway). CI is not really viable with that chest tho.

Hasn't this been possible for ages? I'm sure i've seen 100% taken as element builds and its still possible to have 90 max res for them and the reddit meme is a meme because its deliberately inefficient I thought :p
Zdps special but very tanky for sure. All I will mention about OP is eyes of the greatwolf is damage from hits not just damage so the meme version is probably better. |

" Was possible before and people still didn't go for it. Also 90 max res is reality with Melding already. It doesn't make you immortal. And with 50-80k armour physical hit damage doesn't hurt much either unless it's some big telegraphed slam, but this setup will for sure make you very tanky against phys hits, specially if you get a lot of armour to mitigate the rest of it. " i would try with The Formless Inferno instead of warlords helm. a bit less physical to fire damage taken but the "Armour is increased by Overcapped Fire Resistance" mod should be a nice buff with all the fire ress that build will have. self found league fan http://www.pathofexile.com/forum/view-thread/324242/page/1 Last edited by caboom#7201 on Aug 5, 2022, 7:08:15 AM

I have been wondering something remotely similar with Lightning damage taken conversion with mana build and using the Lightning damage MoM helm with normal Mind over Matter (which gets you to 70% for lightning now) and getting some more mana conversion but problem with that is that you can only get up to 90% lightning damage to mana easily and you can't get Physical to Lightning damage taken that high.

There's a niche build from Ruetoo that became possible this league that fits what you're looking for. You can only use Purity of Fire as an aura though and the damage isn't great. Use whatever spell deals the most damage as your damage dealer.
Tempered by War - 50% of cold and lightning damage taken as fire Dawnbreaker (max roll) - 20% of cold and lightning damage taken as fire Sublime Vision (Purity of Fire) - 30% of cold and lightning damage taken as fire You are now 100% immune in every way to cold and lightning damage without shenanigans like the Machination shield. You take items that give max fire res to get to 90% and take everything you can that converts phys taken to fire. Maybe you could play it on Elementalist on an ignite build in 3.19...uh I dunno still seems underwhelming. |

" Yes but at 100% phys hits taken as fire armour is doing nothing... unless you suggest taking the new jugg ascendancy for armour reducing elemental damage?? |

" RF seems like it would fit the build well. The extra life regen would reduce the DoT issue as a bonus. I don't know enough about ignite builds to comment on them. poe.ninja was pointing me to some hexblast ignite builds but they were all in the wrong (top) quadrant for this and were only doing 4M dot in that quadrant. |

" Do we know that this is not just a screwup by GGG and will stay like that? No wonder it's lost, it's in the middle of the jungle!
