Raise Zombie: Gem quality no longer grants 0–20% increased Minion Movement Speed. Now costs 9 mana at gem level 1 (previously 10), up to 28 at gem level 20 (previously 38). I like how they "buff" zombies. Literally WOW. |

" i do feel the nerfs too on an already highly constrained build on a class it wasn't meant for, I've also had to entirely abandon build archetypes because of not only some nerfs but the removal of entire ascendancy nodes and more. The coming patch could very well be a blessing in disguise for many playing a minion build, perhaps the witch players are a bit flustered reasonably so +2 gem levels is not generally cheap to get in a convenient spot but that may be changing with the methods being added and turn out to be less of a hassle than we think, we'll have to wait to see that one. I've mostly played witch over the years, a few leagues ago i switched to a guardian build but that builds requires an empower level 4 to reach the same level a witch gets with a single ascendancy node so this change is going to make builds like mine also not completely locked into having to buy stuff like that EVERY league we run a minion build to compete. I would not have supported it just to make that clear.(this is without knowledge of the modifiers present on the new items) they may make up for it entirely. Necromancers have been broken for years, and still are... Stop whining. Heck, they still are. Affliction and Necropolis worst leagues ever. The current game design has slowly turned this game into a loot-shower fest, chase uniques are way too available; and obtaining chase items through stacked decks and valdo's boxes simply isn't fun.

Realistically speaking, The changes to unnatural strength aren't going to make much of a difference for necromancers. 30% more damage as is going to outperform 2 skill, and you can pick it back up on helmet now. think of it as a free damage multi.
Now I do have some issues with the balance pass to gems, carrion and stone are getting nerfed again, which is rough, and zombies feel like they're getting hammered with another nerf(movement speed is probably the most damage relevant stat for melee minions) and at this point it feels like they're kicking the corpse, I can't imagine zombies even saw play last two seasons aside from use as bodies for reduction stacking. Someone also mentioned bone ring's taking some more painfully necessary sockets away from builds that REALLY need them, but I'll reserve judgement on how that'll effect builds going foward since we are getting a ton of new slots for minion related skills. also note were getting minion crit and multi in a lot of places, which is very big for dps and can make more builds viable that weren't before, as well as some nice little qol stuff for srs and phants. THAT BEING SAID, PLEASE STOP WITH THE SPECTER NERFS, jfc, every chance you guys get you drop an anvil on specter players, this season it made up less then 3% of necro builds! WHY DOES IT NEED TO BE NERFED AGAIN, they get one shot in damn near every map over t11 and utility specters on 4links with PURELY defensive setups when your running determination and defiance banner STILL DIE EVERY OTHER t14 + MAP, at least raise their survivability if your gonna make another gaff at their damage! stopping kicking the dog ITS DEAD ALREADY! skeletons seem like a super hard over reaction, mages should have had a 50% damage pass to begin with but the other changes still adversely affect melee skeletons and vaal summon skeleton builds which vastly underperform mages, I expect better out of a balance team then a knee jerk 'many player play, nerf into ground'. but I will also give the benefit of the doubt to them, as the changes to crit and multi may have cause a smaller nerf to still over perform, so here's hoping that isn't the case. I would say my overall impression of the minion pass is positive, but if you take anything away from this or lord forbid someone from GGG read this, please consider fixing specters, please? |

I can predict with it being a vaal implicit getting a +2 all minion corrupt will be easy, you should be able to buy it fairly easily since a lot of stuff drops corrupted and you can just keep spamming vaal orbs on random helmets for it. The midgame / endgame folks will start rolling +2 minion helmets and vaaling those and im sure by mid-league most people will be able to make it even as casual

replacing Unnatural Strength makes sense, +2 to minion skills turn necro into the go to ascendancy for most minion builds.
problem is they moved the +2 to helmets so any build that require a unique helmet is now screwed. GGG should have moved the +x to all minion skill gems to a less troublesome equipment slot. self found league fan
