Double corrupting maps,.

So since I can't get an answer from GGG support themselves,. they direct me to ask the general community about this question.. which i find preposterous because how would we know the answer to this??

SO here it is the question that can't be answered by support!

When double corrupting a map VIA einhar,. When they become unid,. Do they add or remove mod's from the map, I know when you Vaal a map and it becomes unid it doesn't change,. but when it comes to double corrupting will it or not.,?

so, map corruption does the following

25%: add corrupt tag, no change
25%: unid map, no mod change
25%: turn into rare 8 mod map
25%: reroll map (+1 tier if not tier 16)

double corrupting will *always* pick 2 of these outcomes, it will never pick the same one twice.

IF the map becomes unid, you have 33% chance it did nothing, 33% chance it got rerolled to 4-6 mods, and 33% chance it became an 8 mod.

IF the map becomes unid, AND stays the same map, you have 50% chance it did nothing, and 50% chance it became an 8 mod. and because its corrupt, you cant id it and have no way to know which.

We have never had a map change in 150 double corruption's,. so your telling me the map can loose or change mods when it becomes unid? because it's said that they do not change mods when they become unid
my scenario is ONLY for double corrupting. like i said, you get TWO from the list.

https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Vaal_Orb#Maps

my 4th option was partially incorrect

"reroll the map, 50% chance to gain +1 tier (cannot gain tier if already t16)

SO, when you DOUBLE CORRUPT, and one outcome is unid, the SECOND OUTCOME is unknown, from the following:
Nothing
8 mod
rerolled

means instead of a 50/50, its 33% that the original mods were kept, and 66% that it has different mods.

So why couldn't support say this to me?

And if it's 8 mod it's not a re-roll it just add's 2 mods?

because support doesnt answer 'gameplay help questions'

and 8 mod maps are full rerolls. 8 random mods

because CSR's may not necessarily have the correct information, not all of them will have heavy game knowledge and you don't want to be bothering developers with gameplay questions left and right.

but your wrong about the 8 mod because I have maps that just add 2 mods and don't change,. so?

It would be better if there was open source information about it,. they should have the information at hand

GGG has actually explicitly said they want some things to be a mystery and for players to experiment and explore to find things out.

Now whether or not you agree with that line of thinking is another thing but thats how it is.

i've been doing this now for 2/3 league's in a row and all way's wanted to know,. now it's the first time i ask i get fobbed off and directed here,. so if thing's are a mystery how does any one know the answer's i'm looking for?

This option has been in game since maybe 2014,. so now i ask for an explanation I just get people guessing what could be happening,. that's not what i call fun it's incredibly frustrating and has pissed me off
