Ignite status icon
So, I've noticed that out of three classic elemental ailments, only ignite doesn't show a status icon on mobs. Is it because shock and chill apply % effects as opposed to ignite? I get that there's a visual effect, but it would be nice to have an icon as well (at least optionally).

Yes, only shock, chill, brittle, scorch etc will show, because those are passive effects that you wouldn't be able to tell otherwise. You can tell if an enemy is ignited cause it's taking damage over time.

" It doesn't make much sense. Ignite is a mechanic which is applied to a mob. It should show up as an icon |

There are a lot of mechanics applied to the mob. But only non-damage elemental ailments seem to be showed.

I think the reasoning for this makes sense to not clutter visual information, but I think it is also confusing for some players as they see other elemental ailment status and expect to see one for ignite

" the game is already cluster fuck of info when all the debuff are showing on player side , so that it does not really make sense that the dev sudden think only non-damaging ailment icon showing on monster is a good thing. " A lot of non-ailment debuff , you have to guess it by the actual visual effect or test it in PVP to tell is it actually applies, so that this also weak explanation that the dev choose only non-damaging ailment This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee.
