cant trigger creeping frost in maloneys

i am trying the quiver maloney's mech and i cant get it to trigger itself at all. no matter what other bow skill i use. any leads ?

this thing? you're misreading it 'trigger a socketed *BOW* skill when you attack with a bow'. creeping frost isnt a bow skill. |
