Build recommendation pls
What are some of the best builds i can do with mageblood/headhunters + 100 to 150ex?
Can someone recommend pls? Preferably an easy to use build without a lot of buttons to press and not squishy. Focus is on mapping more than bossing but I'd like to kill shaper, elder sirius and maven at least with 6 portals. Tried going through some guides but I'm not a good enough player to see which are good and which are bad. Thanks in advance! A Mageblood can work on basically any build and will increase its power massively. You should probably focus on choosing a skill, and then look up relevant build guides or people playing it on https://poe.ninja/challenge/builds, and then adapt the build to build off the strengths of Mageblood.
Fast mappers with okay bossing that come to mind are Herald of Thunder autobomber and Tornado Shot, though being ranged the TS one can be squishy. Not sure about the tankiness of the HoT but with self-damage from Storm's Secret I imagine it's not that bad. Going down the list of popular skills on poeninja, you will probably find that most of them can be built tanky and fast with a Mageblood. That's just the way meta builds are :) |

" Thanks for your reply! Hahah i think the main problem is that i cant tell which builds are good or bad. Havent played the game for a long time so I dont know how to see if a character is glass cannon or is comfortable with surviving t16 juiced maps |

" poe.ninja is a good place to see good builds, but does suffer from selection bias for two reasons: 1) It selects for builds that are easy to level to 100 and 2) It selects for PEOPLE who level builds to 100. Overall it selects for people who make expensive builds, as they are the ones most worthy of being levelled to 100. That being said, you have a Mageblood and 100ex, so I think it will be okay. This all means that poe.ninja is in fact a good place to find good builds. On the defensive side, you'll get a pretty tanky build for relatively little cost by running Determination, Melding of the Flesh (very easy to support with Mageblood), and having capped Spell Suppression. Getting Glancing Blows and a shield with Life/ES on block is a huge boost to that. With defence being so easy to invest into I am sure that many meta builds (such as the ones on poeninja) will have invested in these. |

" Btw, is coc ice spear occultist an easy build? My poe ninja page is filled with this build when sorting by dps. The numbers seem to be ridiculously high |

" (If this is annoying you you can search for Ice Spear on the left, click it, and then click the 'Block' button to have a look at other build archetypes.) CoC does have a lot of moving parts - you need good Attack Crit, Accuracy, Cooldown Recovery Rate, Attack Speed (these last two are particularly important to be just right), and then you need to factor in defences and Spell Crit and more damage... It's a very good build with a high ceiling. The only reason I didn't initially recommend it was because I didn't know how fast it was at mapping, though I imagine with Tailwind boots and a Mageblood it would be acceptable. |

" Got it, thanks so much for ur help! |

Be aware, CoC builds require you to be super anal about hitting very specific attack speed and cooldown numbers. If you get that mix off even by a little, most of your dps disappears.
