How to fasten Atlas grind with altars

It is really slow for me, i got randomly from 0 to 4 altars per map. I do run strands. Sometimes the altar appear late and i barely noticed it on my minimap.

Any trick, tip how to make this challenge faster?

I don't play new leagues, but I've noticed if you have a lot of increased pack size that you spawn more altars, so if you have vaal'd maps with a lot of modifiers, you're gonna have like 30-40%+ pack size.

You can also allocate the Atlas Passive Grand Design - Small Atlas Passives Grant Nothing, but your maps have 1% increased pack size per allocated notable atlas passive skill.

Good luck, and I hope I'm right.
The map you do has a huge impact. Some maps have more altars on average than others. For me, Crimson Township and Courtyard have a lot.
I can confirm both answer above me from personal experience. I had way more than 1k Exarch altars on my way to 100 in T16 Precincts with Grand Design allocated.

I don't have a "faster" recommendation myself but I'd highly recommend you to combine the altar farming with some other goal like a certain amount of currency, a specific item or crafting materials for some endgame stuff in mind just to diversify your focus a bit.
Thanks guys, i tried Park and Strand and seems park has more altars. And mostly, square maps has more altars too than straight line layout

I didn't really pay attention as to certain maps spawning more altars on average, but you do have the node on the atlas passive tree that increases the chance of altar spawn right? If you are doing eater altars. I don't think exarch has it though.

Yeah i have all related passives. Red ones are easier/faster than blue ones

Are you sure about that? Red altars have 50% increased chance of appearing the first time you encounter the influence mobs, but Blue altars has 30% increased chance to appear whenever. I'm not stating which is better, but I'm not so sure red is better.

with red ones, i just do first encounter = 10-15 sec / 1 altar
with blue ones, it had to clear the map, avg 2min / 2-3 altars

Red ones are easier

The thing about altars, is that they make the map rippier. If you're not tanky enough, you might progress faster with fewer altars per map.
