Will items and currency items carry over to POE 2?

Just wondering, I am a very casual player in POE, slowly getting items and currency. I often do not play in leagues because my characters wouldnt be complete within the months leagues are ran in.
That said, POE 2 is holding my attention, more so now that we know how P2W Diablo Immortal is and now Blizzard is at the current state. If items and currencies can be brought forward to POE 2, Ill put in more time into the game and perhaps hoard some stuff for POE 2 when it launches. Thanks. Last bumped on Nov 29, 2024, 9:02:02 AM

" well yes and no. In PoE 2 there isn't any item sockets anymore so fusing doesn't exist there. As I understand it, you will have 2 games in 1 --> PoE 1 and PoE 2 that have "seperat" area's but end in the same end game area's..... However ALL MTX carry over to both "worlds".... |

Ok, so some currencies will not be used in POE 2 but can still be used in POE 1. Gear will be new, I assume as there is no slot in them in POE 2. MTX carries over (thank goodness) so I can buy any good looking ones now without fearing they go to waste in POE 2. Got it, thanks!

" the socket system is changing, you dont link sockets any more, but all the gear you own like rare and unique items you will still own in poe2 and there will be new sockets on them, just ones that dont need to be linked. so you keep ur current poe1 gear in poe2. I hope all of that is true. Keeping mtx shouldnt be difficult but im worried how they will transfer everything and GGG has made false statements before. Promised no more currency stash tabs and how many league specific ones do we have now? I dont have much against it but it made stash tabs even more p2w. Atleast give everyone a basic currency stash for free already. Cant imagine playing with just 4 regular tabs.
