Wellspring of Creation and Shaper's Realm, Mavin Crucible, etc

Does this atlas passive apply in these realms? The description says "monsters in your maps", but it's not clear how literal the game is using the word "maps". Does any realm that uses the map device, count as a map here?

Boss areas like Crucibles and Shaper's Realm do not benefit from Wellspring or Dance of Destruction. They are not counted as maps.

Generally only the places that you can see on the Atlas are counted as maps for the purposes of the Atlas Skill Tree. Other areas are only affected when mentioned by name, for example with the keystones that make the Uber fights.
