Phrazz its more than just the "Diablo" name. Its the big budget, high polish, next-gen arpg that everyone has been waiting for.
New characters, new skills, new environments, a new endgame. A big scope of an open world too. The Diablo universe is just a massive perk. Idk, PoE2 has indicated there will be no new endgame (presumably tweaks), in fact, its shared with PoE1. I just cant get excited about unlocking the Atlas and mapping for the next 5 years and 20 leagues... " The D4 closed beta registration is open right now, so there will absolutely be a beta in 2022, with a release in 2023. PoE2 will take a miracle to get beta in 2023, and 2024 release is probably wishful thinking at this point. MAYBE January of 2024 if they put their heads down and grind, but that's never really been Chris's MO. Is POE 2 going to use the same game engine as POE 1? Same limitations?

" What makes you exited about D4? It will most likley have zero build diversity like all blizzard games have. Its always a predefined path and like in d2 everything that is to weird will be patched out. Mods that gave the game depth made D2 survive for decades people always forget that. D4 will be most likley a amusment park like newer versions of WoW. Carefully controlled so everything is whithin the limits the devs want it to be. I dont know what you like but thats something I can play only once and than never touch it again. Its not complex enough for me. |
