Honestly something like Mirage Archer would be pretty nice for Melee. People would complain that it's not true Melee but the fact that it would be something that is attached to your character as the origin point of its attacks would still suit the general playstyle I think. It also fits the theme of Ancestors in general being vague spirits that just kind of appear and attack on their own.

EDIT: oh yeah, we've had a good year or two of doing Haku missions and carrying that Ancestor on our backs yet that was somehow never turned into a support gem.

Did you know that bow builds also rely on totems? Shocking, I know, thought only melee had this handicap.
