Need help to improve DPS and survivability
Can anyone help to advise how do I improve my character.
I am now stuck at tier 10 maps and have trouble going into higher tier maps. As I am playing on SSF league, I am not sure how to improve further. Any advice is appreciate. Below is my POB. https://pastebin.com/D2urTgHi Path of exile - The real sequel to Diablo 2 Last bumped on Jun 15, 2022, 4:34:59 AM

I've not played SSF much but the first thing I'd work on are defenses. You don't have avoidance (block, evasion) and only some mitigation (maxed ele resists but only 7k armor, negative chaos, and no spell suppression). I'd try to fit in grace or determination instead of one of your existing auras, perhaps by reinvesting 3 points from endurance charge and 2 other small ones into the reservation efficiency cluster near duelist. Gear-wise I'd craft a better helmet since yours only gives a bit of life and resistance. Next, I'd get some amethyst rings and try to craft something in the grove or with essences to get chaos resist into positive territory. Your iron rings are OK but have weak implicit.

1) You're running too many life flasks. If you need the mana flask, I would cut 2 of the life flasks to do one Jade and one granite. Roll them to have %armour and %evasion. Do something on the Flaggelant line for prefix if you can. Use orbs to put "Use when full" on them.
2) I would drop Enfeeble and just keep Vulnerability. Enfeeble requires you to have an insane amount of intelligence and you don't have multiple curses anyway. This allows you to get some points back from the intelligence you are investing in. 3) Your chest piece is pretty bad. Either grab a better base or if you need the links on that one, spam some Deafening Greed essences on it till you get some decent mods and can also craft something on it. |

Couldn't get my pob to save a tree for you for some reason, so I adjusted one in Poe Planner:
https://poeplanner.com/b/g7H Note I switched Unyielding ascendancy. With this tree, I would boot out ancestral call for Lifetap (to get rid of your mana pot and benefit from all the "if you spent life recently" damage boosts). I would also boot out one of the other supports for Impale (and get Dread Banner to cap out impale chance). |

" Thanks. I start running with Grace aura and use a jade flask and a granite flask and now able to survive much better. Now I need some advise to increase my DPS. 1) What are good support gems for heavy strike? 5-linked and 6 linked 2) Beside ice golem, herald of ice, warchief totem and vulnerability, what other skills can I add on to increase DPS? Check my post right above yours where I gave you a tree and mentioned a couple of support changes.

I tried your DPS suggestion but does not see a significant increase in DPS. So just wondering maybe there is something I am doing wrong.

" beyond using Heavy Strike? Go to your bench, put your weapon in it, and scroll down past the suffixes. find the 'remove enchant' craft (should cost a couple scours). you are an attack build based on weapon damage. you have a terrible enchant on your mace right now (1 strike range per 10 quality). you 100% want quality to affect your weapons damage instead. you're eventually going to use brutality support (when you get a 6 link). drop herald of ice for herald of purity. your build doesnt have nearly enough critical change to worry about Ice golem. Swap to Fire (increased damage), or Stone (life regen) If you're using it for the accuracy boost, dont bother. spend 1 passive point and take 'resolute technique'. you pathed right past it. item rarity support - throw these away. " Thanks. I tried your suggestion and able to raise my dps to about 200K. But I think that is still not end game viable. Is there anyway to get that dps to at least 1M? I think that is the bare minimum to be at least end game viable given end game bosses can have 70M HP. Path of exile - The real sequel to Diablo 2

End game viability is a bit of a grey area. It depends a bit on what aspect of endgame you want to focus on.
But yes you generally want to be able to hit 1mil dps for the later stages, and really that only is good for a portion of "endgame" as you do end up needing more than that. And as far as PoE goes, a lot of it is finding whatever the current skills are that scale up well, because sooner or later they fall from grace and new ones take their place, albeit as of late "viable" builds have been more heavily restricted than usual thanks to things like archnem mods. Yep, totally over league play.
