can somone tell me how to make secret of suffering in pob work?

So my friend told me that literally every lightning strike champion with omni uses secret of suffering jewel and that it provides more damage than shock but when i select this jewel in pob and for example set scorch effect 35 like with shock it gives me way less damage i also select brittle with 35 effect and it barlel gives me damage and sap is just 20% reduced dmg taken for me so what stats do i put in pob for brittle/scorc effect or what else i need to tick? and what is the cap of brittle/scorch/sap effect?

Secrets of suffering gives you free crit cap thats it, you don't care about scorch because you are using omniscience and you don't care about sap because nobody cares about sap.
Brittle has a stupidly high cap its a stupid ailment in general if you want to simulate secrets of suffering just set your crit to 100% however you want and its pretty much true :p I won't have the buffs setup right for your guy but a 10% brittle gives you about 60%-70% more dps and scorch about 10-15% depending on its value as I was guessing. You don't care about sap because most of the time its worn off by the time you actually need it, you don't care about scorch because you are already setting mobs to -100% resist so an extra 30 isn't a big deal.
Now neither of those are a bad thing, but nobody uses secrets of suffering for them either even on builds that can actually utilise them. You use secrets for brittle which has numbers like the dev sneezed and added a zero when they were calculating it. |

I been trying to find the synergy between scorch and ele pen (from Omni mainly) and seems like it's not there. I think I have to go back and look at the guide video again but seems like once you get the Omni you basically don't need scorch whereas I thought it said in the guide it does help DPS.
