Righteous Fire Energy Shield Detriment

I would like to know if someone can help me,

I tried to follow Phox guides, for now I don´t have mageblood, I use Pathfinder instead of Raider to reach flasks consume at the end... My most important question is, ,my energy shield only reach full when I get blocks but then it detriments, but If I stay it becomes 0, but I seee Pohx energy shield at maximum all the time... What is my fault?, probably is ascendancy instead to use a templar....

You said it yourself, the idea behind Pohx's characters is being a Templar Inquisitor and using the Sanctuary and Pious Path Ascendancy notables to make you regen health and ES.
So you're kinda not following his guides at all, really.

Also, a Mageblood is far from needed, it's just fluff.
