Mechanically unable to complete Infinite Hunger due to Corrosive Hunger

With game design like that, it feels like their priority is making something that would look as unique as possible from the outside, for someone watching a stream or a trailer. "But how would the players deal with it" comes later, if at all.

It is sad how the core devs make a great product, and then designers screw it all with one wild feint after another. Dragging a 10-year old proprietary engine all the way up to DX12/Vulcan is an impressive feat, and yet PoE is the most unwelcoming and frustrating game I ever saw.

That is a bit to harsh, the fight is pretty cool in general ^^' Would like the mechanics of the debuff to be changed a bit though.

I wasn't relating only to this boss, feeling is produced by many things combined, from exp death penalty in a game where you are bound to die for reasons beyond your control, to dps checks gating content. Sorry for off-topic here, I won't press further.

As for the boss, another way to fix it would be reducing the movement speed penalty while you are swallowed and trying to get out. The current snail speed is what makes you get so many debuff stacks that you are bound to be oneshotted later (and lose exp for something impossible to avoid).
Try to use Stampede boots from Blight league. It ignores the slow effect from corrosive debuff or that area in general
Yep, that would work, but depending on build, swapping an item may be a luxury player cannot afford.
I know some people like to only play 1 character but I've always found it useful to have at least 2 90+ characters each league. For softcore purposes, I can do risky content with one and reliable leveling with the other. Later I can specialize them re: bosses vs clear.
