Live search unavoidable autoban

Run a live search
Someone sharing an item that matching the search parameters. Someone keep using currency on the item while in public tab Your live search get bricked. Now you have to wait for 5? minutes before being able to use search again despite you've done nothing wrong against the API. Does the design supposed to be THAT much evil?
