Infinite Hunger is a badly designed fight

Sure give the boss an immunity phase where you have to run away and then also have a timer running to pull you underground away from the boss. There is just not enough uptime available to actually damage the boss.

Then there is the swap pool itself. Permanent reduction of defenses and a hard to see indication of where to go while also slowing you to a stop as you try and get to the exit. Even with a teleport/dash skill you are barely able to travel through the swamp to the exit. There is no avoiding gaining stacks and with the infinite monsters spawning they will kill you through your massively reduced defenses.

If by some miracle you manage to get through the swamp portion, well you just circle back to the first problem of a boss going immune during your opportunity to do damage and wasting time until you get pulled back under. Only now you might just die to the damage he can deal while he is immune.

The only real solution I have seen anyone come up with to deal with this boss is to kill it faster before you get sent down into the swamp. There is no player skill to display or mechanics to properly execute that can overcome this boss, just kill it faster.

I am shocked that this boss fight ever went live and appalled that it remains exactly the same two leagues in a row. This is a required boss to progress the current endgame and is the absolute worst thing to encounter. I would much rather fight ANY OTHER BOSS.

It is literally a joke, its just a dps check.
lets not forget, sirus has offscreen die beams and death balls that sometime clog the entrance/provide no pathway to get to the boss. his teleports require you to notice where he teleported without strong indicators.

its been that way since the day he was introduced.

One of most stupid/frustrating boss design. And its also bugged(?) cause im can teleport from swallowed phase... in another swallow phase.
Still no see "skill" way to kill, only dps chek. Half of boss attack - oneshot kills, swallow phase - too frustrating.
Most deaths on boss are "WTF???" deaths.
I.e. ggg made a boss on which newcomers want to quit "this stupid game" and tough players skipping phases by overdps. Great job (if you wanted to make it as dumb as possible).

immunity phases. gimmicks. so on
Just gotta be fast movement and know how/where to go when you get pulled under.

Literally one of his conditions for challenge prevents you from just outdpsing his mechanics and/or logging out.
