About 8 mod blight ravaged maps

When you try to annoint a 8 mod blight ravaged map it says it has the maximum amount of mods and doesnt allow you to even with tainted oil. Do the mods that it gains when you annoint it counts towards the 8 mods challenge?

Anoint before corruption. And I don't think the anoint enchants count toward the mod challenge.
