Can't get past ledge

I had to make a new character due to dying. Actually made 2 and both cannot enter the ledge. I've changed servers relogged etc and every time I try to open ledge the game crashes. Not really sure what to do since this is the beginning of the game...

sounds like file corruption, so do this -->
1. Close PoE.
2. Run packcheck.exe as "an administrator".
3. Now start PoE again as "an administrator".

If it still doesn't work, then you will also need to delete your local PoE shader cache files here -->
C:\Users\"your windows account name"\AppData\Roaming\Path of Exile\
