Are Essence Monsters Supposed to be harder than bosses?

i stop playing right now to this garbage balance and vision of the game.
Juggernaut lvl85, molten shell, max all res 79+, endurances charges, 25k armor, 100% spell suppress, 6.5k life, stun and freeze immunity, shock mitigated, 60% reduced critical strikes from enemies etc... etc... etc...

My build facetanked bosses, litteraly destroyed in 0.2 seconds encountering a blue pack (steel infused + chaos weaver) on a T4 map (0 mods).

This game is shit now

Bye Chris

What balance? Youa re playing SSFHC and game was never balanced around it. You are making game harder for yourself and you are complaining that its too hard.

He posted his stats. The fact that he's HC SSF is irrelevant. Neither HC nor SSF makes the monsters stronger. Based on the stats, it should not be possible for 1 pack of blue mobs to instantly delete that character.
I don't think the Essence League was designed with all these atlas juicing mods. We probably weren't supposed to see 5-8 modded duplicated monsters with new modifiers on them.

On the flip side, it's very rewarding to do them with all these atlas passives. So taking them down is worth the trouble.

Here, I will just repeat what I've posted on another thread.

"So, tell me:

If the game is balanced around trading, why does GGG make so much effort to make it unpleasant?

Why no auction house? Why no ban on bots? Why is all the trade interface so clumsy, bad and prone to abuse?

Why is GGG ok with TFT even existing?

Why should spending hours in your base trading for items be considered as "playing" an ARPG game?

The "game is balanced around trading" chant is so irritating.

I'm sorry, but an ARPG game should be balanced aroung getting items and power by killing mosters, not trading.

If you buy things you have no idea on how to acquire by playing yourself - by killing monster with the character you envisioned -, you are bad at the game. You are pretty much a cheater.

If you buy, you are a fail. You haven't put in the work. You don't have the knowledge.

This is how I view the ARPG genre being a SSF enthusiast myself.

And don't get me started on what GGG/Chris Wilson have stated in the past about the theme. I have heard it all during the almost ten years I've had a POE account.

POE is supposed to be what Diablo 3 should have been. That's it. To this day Chris Wilson keeps refering to the Diablo series and saying he himself plays SSF and not trading league.

The thing is Diablo 2 was never balanced trading. Much the contrary. The solo player experience was the core experience and what most of the players enjoyed. This is the reason why it keeps being replayed to this day with pretty much no balance changes in almost 20 years and also why Pluggy is such a prevalent hack.

I wish Chris Wilson would just admit they are trying to fabricate a hamster running wheel and not an actually enjoyable player experience at this point."

And also:

"Just so to illustrate my point about the current dismal user experience even better, look up on youtube "My 2 mirrors just got deleted.." from the player GhazzyTV.

Why should we actually be OK with being forced to use things like TFT and run the risk of being scammed or losing items for various other reasons?

It is high time players quit the "game is balanced around trading" mantra and actually demand a decent user experience - which must be primarily focused on SSF by design just like Diablo 2 was and apparently Chris Wilson loves so much, because that is inevitably the core experience for every player.

First you play the game, then you think about trading stuff - if ever.

It is an ARPG game. Power should be acquired through killing monsters, not trading, not being forced to lend your valuable item to another person."
Try a boss after adding 4 mods to it with alters with the +1 or whatever node on... half of them are literally impossible to kill
Totally frustrated with the changes this season. I can kill most map bosses with some effort, but essence elites destroy me consistently. Am I supposed to just spec out of essence nodes on my atlas passive tree? I should not have to do this because of bad balance for these. For the casual player, this is extremely demoralizing.
Lost my AG to this. Sentinel is fun so kinda sad that all the new mods ruin it.
