New Rares and Mods make POE for Melee unplayable (more than before)

Actually its not just melee, but builds that have a active playstyle and have to be close to deal damage are penalized most heavily. Whereas builds that use indirect sources of damage like minions, totems, DoTs etc are much more convenient to play.
The game has become more of a bullet hell lately. Basically standing still is death & best defense is running in circles which you cannot do if you have to attack/cast yourself. |

" +1 I came back to PoE after taking a break for over a year. I played on Standard league for the last 6 weeks or so, re-speced some older melee builds and was surprised how well they worked. Fast forward to this new patch, forgettaboutit. I'm taking another year break. Thing is, I didn't support this game during this comeback. I wanted to wait until the new league patch to see if they would obliterate melee yet again, sure enough, they did. Well, no $ from this dude. I vote with my wallet. |

Couldn't agree more. Especially for evasion and SS/Dodge builds.
Ive played since breach league, and im having a damn stress attack trying to react to the degen death effects that are in every damn pack of mobs. The flame wall on death is particularly frustrating, because i kill something and am immediately losing thousands of hp per second. Unless I react perfectly, or happen to dash out as I kill, I die. No I dont have the best hp pool (3k) but im capped fire res in t1 maps! Why can a random mob drop a 1 seconds ttk ground effect on me? |
