Infinite lightining(?) explosion on map
While i was trying to play uber cortex, in one moment blue totem with big aoe damage start to appear here and there, i was thinking it was cast from kinda crazy broken mob and clear everyone on map except Venarus, but this thing still sometimes occasionally spawn and deal massive damage (rip 1 specter 2 zombs).
Next thing i was thinkin that its ability from venarus itself (or uber version). And manage to kill his encounter with losing only one portal While being bombarded by this horrible nightmare. But no, even after loot droped from cold hands of this blue bstrd, bombardment don't stop. Then i just try to grab some loot from map (there was a lot). And no, if i stop for second, even for picking up loot - im dead. (rip animate guard also). summary: 1 portal for uber boss, 5 portals for infinite obliteration from no- hekkin -where. almost 0 loot, and dead AG, great balance, great idea, great patch. I'm glad I didn't have time to buy suppack\pass. Coz this is just not fair. Last bumped on May 16, 2022, 3:41:14 AM

" If he is talking about what I am thinking it is (blue crystals which appear overhead and then explode for massive damage) its not part of the fight but a bugged archnemsis mod that is persisting through the mobs death. Just got done with a normal cortex and i can confirm they persist. lost 2 portals before i realized what was happening. they do have a max range it seems, so go a couple screens away.

The modifier is Heralding Minions which spawns those totems when the rare monster's minions die, but apparently their despawning condition does not work under some circumstances.
The ones I have seen mentioned are if the rare monster is a beast and thus goes through a different "death" process and if the mod rolls on a magic pack rather than a rare one and thus the totems do not despawn because there is no rare to kill to deactivate them. |
