No they were working on POE2 and ignoring the patch.

I decided to try something different and run detonate dead for the first time ever. Holy shit is it miserable thanks to archnemesis monsters. My damage is mediocre, their damage is through the roof plus they're tanky and riddled with area denial. If they're not spamming AoEs all over the place, they almost always seem to have hasted and are always in my face.

I hope this shitty leveling experience pays off when I reach mapping, otherwise I'll just stick to my summons and never dream about doing wave 30 simulacrum ever again.

DD builds don't run DD until a bit later. They usually start with cremation/geddon brand or some other comfy starter then respec to dd once they have access to more sockets/support gems+ gear

I am aware of that much, having been using both arma brand and cremation for leveling. It's still been a total nightmare for me and it makes me wonder how much different it would've been if I just stuck to my skelemancer as I work up to skelly mages.
