Trade needs auto accept

I think trade is broken. You did good on making a trade system. but you did not take in effect of the players running their trade. I sent numerous whispers to many different players. That ignore or tell me "sorry I'm using this tab for storage" but has a price on that they asking for.

Trade needs a auto accept. I think this is better of for multiple reasons.

1. Do not have to be online to get paid. A lot of players go afk to sleep or other things to keep trade open for them.
2. Still want the product without dealing with ..... well wont say these words here. like shopping online you buy and its delivered no hassle.
3. Do not have to leave your map or be interrupted during important fights to leave to go trade and waist a portal. just need a message that says something like *your blah blah blah has sold for $*
4. Put a stop to players scamming OP items for less currency. With no intentions on selling.

I have seen many players say they wish trade was better. I think something with auto sell is the way to go.

all the hassle you have to go through to trade is intentional.



the game doesn't want you to buy your items cause you should try to get them by playing the game.

the game doesn't want you to sell your items cause there is no demand for your junk except you underprice alot and so contribute to make items worthless in the rat race to the bottom price.

the game doesn't want you to find out the real price of items cause that would allow you to automatise trade, fake sellers hide the real price of items, you can only find out the price by actually selling it and look how many people are interested.

trade is only there to give your items value because YOU COULD THEORETICALLY SELL THEM.




of course that's all bullshit from the players' point of view, the game doesn't value your time, the reality is that players only get items by trading, your wrists hurt from typing trade messages, you have to make inconvenient decisions and compromises, bla bla bla blubb ... well, the games' interests are diametral to the the players' interests.

Currently the best method of trading is to just ignore anyone that looks like they might be a real player and go right to trading with the bots. Is this really the way GGG wants people to trade? Sounds really socially dynamic to trade with bots. Sounds really good for the economy too provided they will just sell all the currency they get. The trade system right now helps noone but the bots.

nothing is outdated. basic gaming principles will still be valid even if "games that come and go" try to violate them and fail.

praising supposed bots will make it worse for you "bot lovers" cause eventually ggg will ban client side scripting engines lile auto-it or autohotkey if users of those scripting frameworks give the impression of the game being infested with bots.

I strongly recommend using the official trade page. There's an ignore button near every seller's name which will permanently remove their trade listings. Anyone I send a PM to who refuses to respond with a party invite or explain why they can't trade is immediately written off as a price fixer and added to the ignore list. There are 50 account names per page on the ignore list, and I have 19 pages worth of names written down.

The list grows every league and it won't stop. If all I have left in the end are trade bots, then so be it. I don't play this game to sit in my hideout with my thumb up my ass trying to find someone to sell me the thing I need. I play this game to, you know, actually play it.

I'm sure some of them on my list aren't price fixers, but I can't deny the efficacy of my methods. I barely encounter listings for items priced extremely cheaply and is put there to either trick you into undervaluing your item or are offering a mirror service. To make things even better, my responses are almost always guaranteed now.

After all, this game was built from the ground up with trading in mind and certain things like Harvest were gutted to account for it. People treat "mUh TrAyD mAnIfEsTu" as if it's scripture. It's why SSF is considered a challenge mode even by GGG, because you're handicapping yourself by disabling a fundamental feature of the game.

If GGG doesn't want us to trade, then they should give players a reason not to. Giving us SSF with no upsides isn't an incentive.

apparently, people find enough amazing items to sell them if you look up trade in a new league.

since my job has a automatisation background: if ggg added a "feedback loop" on trade and would bind the droprate of good rare items to the availability of those items in their trade database, you wouldn't find any good items on hour 5 of a new league.

all items in their trade database are items that don't sell for the advertised price.

so either, the "inconvenience system" works and prevents palyers from buying those items or there is no demand for those items and they shouldn't drop. are there other reasons?

What is your definition of a good item? Because I'm afraid to say not everyone wants to sit around and do nothing but no life POE nor do they have that time. 5 Hours seems steep for a singular item depending on your definition of good. That seems like an asinine expectation of someone.

Yeah in softcore. In hardcore less so.

Trade automation will accelerate the race to the bottom. Also item indexing can not be done with premium stashtabs because that would put non-supporters at a serious disadvantage. Implementing new special tabs would make bought premium tabs useless.

yeah I have been putting a lot of people on ignore. seems to not improve the outcome. still think trade needs a rethink. Maybe PoE2 is the place for a auto accept trade board or auction house.
