Singular Focus and Map Drop Equity

So for those that don't know, maps drop all the time but if the tier doesn't exist on your atlas (due to voidstones), its tier gets added to a "map drop equity" counter instead of dropping a map. This counter adds up until it's high enough to equal a map drop of a tier that's actually possible for you. Meaning, if you would've gotten 3 t15 maps, the first two "drops" don't happen and on the third you get 1 t16 map. This is why the atlas passives that boost the tier of map drops effectively also boost your map sustain. It's also a QoL feature so we don't have to manually do the vendor recipe to upgrade our maps to higher tiers.

Anyway, my question is whether Singular Focus cares about all this. If I'm full voidstones and a t13 map would drop, do I get a currency item instead and no equity? Or does it only get converted to currency if a t16 map would drop?

I suppose it might be possible to test after the patch hits, since unsocketing all voidstones should significantly increase your currency drop rate if maps convert to equity before currency.

Since the wording is "Non-Favoured Maps found in your Maps drop as Basic Currency Items instead" (emphasis mine), I doubt it would count towards equity.
Wouldn't be able to go over in detail but I do know I was still able to drop lower tier maps that would otherwise be disabled by 4 socketed voidstones.

Granted, those were typically out of rewards from archnem monsters, but I do believe I was still seeing some low tiers out of boxes and such.

I remember chris or someone writing about map equity and from personal experience I do think it applies most of the time based on what I saw out of my maps but even with the same favored map for all 12 slots, most of the kirac and map favorite atlas stuff selected, some lower tier maps would still drop.

On the other hand, your typical 'natural' map drops from mobs seemed to generally follow the equity rules. For example, running a lvl 70 atziri from frags would not drop the maps with 4 socketed stones vs the norm with no stones.
Yep, totally over league play.
