Bulk item exchange no longer takes into account partial currency.

I listed several Hunter's Exalted Orbs for 2.8 exalts, but since the last update, the Legacy Exchange Engine lists them for 2 exalts.

You need to use the ratio format described here to show properly in the legacy exchange engine.
The new exchange engine will simply ignore your listings if they're not a whole number. ✮

Because you can't trade for half a currency (shards aside). The bulk exchange has always only allowed trading in whole number amounts.

People trade for partial currency all the time. It's extremely common practice for players to list something for 2.5 exalted, and be paid 2 exalted plus half an exalted in chaos.
This breaks a lot of player workflows for items like Conqueror Exalted Orbs, Awakener Orbs, and Orbs of Dominance which are often bought or sold one at a time. This needs to be reversed. Last edited by Emordorea#6292 on May 11, 2022, 10:18:58 PM

" So you say "you can't trade for half a currency", then immediately discount the less popular way of trading for half a currency, and are apparently and purposefully ignoring the fact that there are currency exchange rates that YOU, GGG, USE ALL THE TIME ON YOUR OWN TRADE SITE for sorting by cost. I'll take "Tell me you don't play your own game without telling me you don't play your own game." for $500. I am so exhausted of having to explain basic functions of the game to the people who make the game, while also having to listen to condescending crap like "close your eyes and slam an exalt" as if anyone actually does that. This will cause people to instead list items for chaos and expecting exalted as soon as the inventory is too small (like over 600c).
I'm sure there will be scammers suggesting to do it in two trades instead... How about allowing to list for multiple currencies instead ? That way one could list an item for 5ex 70c instead of 5.5 ex, which very much would reduce confusion. |

Why are you guys using the bulk trading section to trade for single items? Bulk is for bulk lol

This also affects bulk.
Item is worth 1.1 Exalted Orbs, but the buyer only wants 6 or the seller only has 6. With this change there is: * No way to easily view sellers who have more than one easily using the non-bulk site; and * No way to differentiate sellers who list for 1.1 Exalted Orb from those who list for 1.2-1.9 Exalted Orb on the bulk site.
