On a more serious note I couldn't care less about them, I'll never buy them and I'll never miss out on anything that matters by not buying them. Isn't freedom of choice amazing?

Well we certainly agree on the freedom of choice aspect. I've personally spent thousands on PoE.

That doesn't mean I dont find the mystery box explotive, and the battle pass weaponized fomo. (Insert "before they dissapear forever" marketing)

A daily login reward, to me, is about as harmless as you get. But knowing GGG some of the daily login rewards would be coupons to the cash shop and thusly spoil the entire concept :/

Yes, they are vile. WHo cares about battle pass and loot boxes, they give you some shiny pixels, thats it. While daily quests/daily login reward always give you in-game items that boost your progress. Some people dont want to play the game every day, but they log in just to do daily quest, otherwise they will feel like they are losing something. Devs think it makes people play more often, in reality it makes them hate the game even more, because of damn chores. Daily quests are worst thing that was ever added to MMO genre and removing them was best change to PoE.

If i have to choose between playing SC and doing some yolo fun content knowingly il probably die or playing HC and skip most league mechanics becuz its too rippy and run only white maps wich are 10 levels lower than you till you farm up gear to kill all bosses then you are back to running white maps not hard just extremely time consuming then yeah il be playing s/c and enjoy all league mechanics and every content and get the gears i want in 1 week not 2 months

the ones that require you to kill endgame bosses are pretty sensible

so are the ones that make you kill bosses under conditions

theres always 15-20 that are basically free if you just play the game for a couple weeks

the last 15 or so is whats a pain in the ass
I would definitely say there are some rough ones in there. Most are condition based boss kills, but things like using divine font 250 times is still challenging for most given the sheer repetition required.

I'll probably be exclusively in std this upcoming league unless I see some silly cosmetic reward I want.


I would say that mass of conditional boss kill challenges is a reflection of GGG feeling that too many people hit their 40/40 too early - at the detriment to those of us who take a lot longer to fulfill the same reqs.

I do think its going to have a negative impact though. In trying to "extend" the life of the league I think it will actually shorten its longevity as fewer people are likely to be motivated to push the 36-40 range.
Yep, totally over league play.
This challenge set is indeed not hard technically, rather just multi luck layered time wasters.

Even around half of the 28 boss conditions are fine if You know the boss fight, but there are several requiring lots of luck with random boss mechanism execution order, random boss positioning, etc.

Gnerally, the whole list is heavily luck based, not hard; most of the times, 2-4 layers of luck involved.

Roaming Chayula is already bad, but that is not even that exceptional now.
Duration based roaming lord with another random duration based shrine effect?
Find each rouge exiles? Randomly doubled Hysteria, Horror, Delirium, Insanity essence?
Randomly met tier 4 harvest boss? Oshabi? Double of 5 10% lucked 7 plots per one garden?
General grind will be also longer, like those 2000 altars with 0-4 per map even before their 20% nerf.

So no, this set is (technically) not that hard with some exceptions, which will require several tries.
Which tries will also require lots more time / currency to get their entering fragments.

This set just make people leave way earlier with all this luck based intentional time wasting.
Not to mention, that the 6-24 armour set is already the same as the 28-38 minus a glowing effect.
All-time non-streamer luckless dropless rewardless tons-of-time-playing non-TFT-er 100% solo player.
So, it just turns out, we were lied to for years with the promises of a two-storied one PoE 4.0.
All these worse and worse beta leagues, all these braindead changes, all lead to this.
