More than 100% Convert Physical to Fire?

So if I have 50% Trap damage it does not boost both Physical and Fire portion of Purifying Flame right? I was hoping this is the "double dipping". lol

I guess if I am building Purifying Flame, I just focus on getting Fire and Physical damage boost right? Don't worry about getting "double dip"?

Damage conversion is done before increased/reduced/more/less modifiers, and those modifiers are applied (once) based on the current damage type and any types it was converted from, so no, modifiers to Trap damage won't "double dip" on converted damage. Damage conversion adds to the set of modifiers that apply to damage, but it doesn't let modifiers apply twice.

In general, modifiers to both physical and fire damage apply to PF or any physical-to-fire skill. The exception is flat added fire damage, such as from Immolate Support; that does not scale with physical modifiers, so it might be less valuable to a PF build depending on what exactly you're scaling.
