I'm a big fan of Arakaali's fang, wanna know if this build can synergy well with spiders and do all content smoothly? What Ascendency should I pick if I do that.

Hey azothyang,

yes, until t 16.5 HoA and Arakaali's spiders synergies very, very nice.
Only for really high juiced nightmare maps and the last Ubers the Arakaali's spiders are a bit slow and lowers dps. Then focus on a Solo-HoA or squeeze in The Squire-shield to buff spiders.

Exchange Sin's Rebirth to Writhing jar flask.
Switch out Withering step and Chaos golem of the maelstrom too.

The spiders stack the 15 withers with withering touch - multi strike - melee splash.


Against bosses switch melee splash to unbound ailments or to minion damage.

More guidings are in the spoiler "gear" --> weapon-section --> "alternatives". The Allstars combined scorpions and spiders in their first leagues long time ago too.

Thanks a lot. Your reply is exactly what I need. My plan for 3.28 is trying this build and hope the HoAg can deal with bosses while spiders provide me a fast, smoothly mapping experience.

Yes, exactly, 2 x each +1 lvl out of the pool of the HoA-gem-tags:

all-, minion-, spell-, chaos-, phys-, dex- skill-gemlevels

Melee-weapon-types are mandatory for cyclone (sceptres, daggers,swords, claws, maces), "wands" fit only for spells like stormburst, Arcanist brand / unleash / spell echo - ball lightning of orbiting etc.

Then with maximum base-crit. Maximum could be probably around 14-15% I guess.

Or CIP +3 could reach 10.5% crit I guess.

But as far as I see the under 12% crit probably the original Maata's Teaching is the better choice instead the Reliquararian-passives.

Alternative we could go without the +2 to levels, i.e. in standard-trade are +1 lvl runedaggers with 13% basecrit, without harvest-enchant, without trigger granted, available. So in total 14% basecrit of weapon and +1 HoA lvl should be possible too.

Tl;Dr

Only with a b.i.s. crafted weapon, or not cheap in trade (in my experiences in average 150div++) I recommend to take the Maata's ascendancy as Reliquarian-Scion.
