6L RNG is bad for the game

It's not that bad mate. :)

That is why they should separate it completely.

Then they can finally buff the hell out of it to make it more single player friendly. Until then, only masochists play it so they can jerk themselves off while claiming they're a better gamer.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

MFers found strength in their Afflictions. They became reliant on them. I am not so foolish.

This is a bad take. Not everyone that plays SSF is some kind of masochist or some kind of egomaniac that wants to show off.

The reality is that ssf FEELS like a different game. Your perspective on what items are good/bad changes completely. You don't pick items to see how much you can hock it for at your local poe.trade pawnshop. You pick them up and feel excited when you can squeeze them into your build.

Or better yet... you drop some awesome item that you get to build around and take the CHALLENGE of seeing you can do it without trade.

Simplifying SSF to make links easier and make uniques easier would completely destroy how that league feels.

SSF feels GOOD because of the "masochism"...

Now this "hard mode" shit that is going around... that's where you can finger point the circle jerkers.

Heists drop a ton of 5-links, both unique and rare, and tabula cards are still quite farmable in blood aqueducts. If your SSF build can't function on a tabula or a 5-link, until you can farm a rare/craftable or other specific unique 6-link, play something else. With a functional build working off a tabula or a 5-link, you can target farm for div cards which provide fusings, and/or for div cards which provide 6-links directly, and/or for 6-links from corrupted strongboxes, and/or for certain uniques which are always 6-linked, and/or for harvest crafts which can potentially 6-link an item.

And if all that target farming seems unappealing compared to the relative ease of simply paying anywhere from a few chaos to a few exalts for a 6-link, maybe you shouldn't be playing SSF and should instead just play in a trade league.

as long as there is the option to take that ssf mirror and make a speed run trough trade league, you really need to close 2 eyes before you use that mirror to double your ilevel 80 ssf wand to dual wield.

in fact: on every valuable drop there is the question whether it's worth to cash it in. at least for me as i'm a guy who considers options.
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Strongbox with corrupted are spewing 6Ls. 1500 fusings is the cheapest it's ever been. Tons of div cards that straight up give 6L for white bases for less than an Ex.

Yeah, no.
Ruthless should be [Removed by Support].
Many years ago, 6L was a luxury bonus. That is no longer true. GGG recognizes this fact. They have stated that linking will no longer be part of the game starting in PoE2.
Over 430 threads discussing labyrinth problems with over 1040 posters in support (thread # 1702621) Thank you all! GGG will implement a different method for ascension in PoE2. Retired!
There are many ways to get 6L without trading.

Hillock, the Syndicate member provides 30% quality to body armours if he is a Fortification member and a captain. This may reduce requiring Orb of Fusings.

Delving fossils also provides quality upgrades, but demands too much efforts.

I remember that some of divination card sets provide 6L too. Tabula Rasa, The Seletial Justica, The Chains that Binds, The Ethereal. The Porcupine, and the Imperial Legacy, provides 6L bows.

Loreweave body armour, the fabulous 60 unique rings worth item, has hidden 6L option I remember.

Finally, a tip for link. Don't hesitate. Gather as many as possible and spend as fast as possible. Press Shift and left click maddeningly. Normally, you would spend less than 1500 fusings. I had met only one piece of body armour that had demanded over 1500 fusings.

I recommend this for SSF:

1. Start with Tabula Rasa.
2. Urn a 6L through Divination Cards.
3. Try 6L through OoF only if you can spare them.

And that option does exist and there is nothing wrong with it! You can even mule the mirror onto a single character and migrate that single character with a mirror to trade (if you are willing to reprogress your atlas).

I love ssf. I'm sad I accidently migrated most of my SSF characters on accident last league like an idiot.

It's not for everyone, but one things for sure, making it easier would ruin the challenge and fun of the league completely.

they made it easier already. currency dropping in stacks not only helped bots and joystick heros but also ssf cause you have it much easier to amass lower level currency.

in trade league you just spend some chaos to get those blassblowers
