Sapped/Brittle/Scorched ground on boots not working with flicker strike
Per the title, when using flicker strike with the sapped/brittle/scorched ground while moving searching exarch implicit from boots it will not create the effect on the ground even though the flicker strike teleport counts as moving.
I think the issue is due to a very large delay on the ground effect being created after movement has started. An example of a ground effect being created properly is the Inquisitor consecrated ground dropping instantly when you stop moving therefore it can be used with flicker strike. Following suite it would make sense for the "while moving" effects to be creating when you start moving instead of ~1 second after you start moving. Last bumped on Apr 6, 2022, 12:33:54 PM

If that is the intended interaction (which hopefully it isn't) then I guess it's just another nerf to playing any "melee" ability except cyclone.
I checked a few other posts such as lightning warp and that does appear to be the case that you "moved" but weren't "moving". Still the reverse doesn't make sense as if an inquisitor had been stationary for any time or just for an instant if we were to compare it to flicker it would still drop consecrated ground. It would make most sense for the mechanic to drop ground effects either at the start or end of the movement ability, for example on lightning warp it should drop it where you teleported FROM or where you teleported TO. |

It is the intended way this works. If you would like to see something changed, the feedback forum is the place to make that request.
This isn't a bug. "Programming today is a race between software engineers striving to build bigger and better idiot-proof programs, and the Universe trying to produce bigger and better idiots. So far, the Universe is winning."
