PoE 3.18 "Countdown" League
Yep, just another stupid and dumb idea.
Welcome to Wraeclast. Meet #NPC . That NPC is a phantom. More a Projection from another time. So yes.... this league plays heavily with time. Active the Hourglasses throughout Wraeclast to step into his timeline, defeating enemies. He will grant you a new type of currency "Rewind Orb". Those Orbs lets you rewind the last things you have done to an item. Be it Corruting it, Overclicking and skipping an important craft and so on. In Order to get those Orbs, you have to participate in Time Trials that NPC has Setup up later on. Each "Hourglass Mechanic" will give you some "Time Dust". If you collected enough "Time Dust", you can sell it to the NPC + 1 Map. You will gain a new Form of Map. You can convert any map like this. In those new Map, you have to activate the Hour Glass AFTER you killed every Mob in it. The First Map wont grant you anything. Once you completed the Challenge, Talk to the NPC to open up a portal. That Portal will take you to the exact same map. You know have to clear the whole map FASTER than before. If you can do it , you get a Rewind Orb. If you fail, you gonna convert another map and try again. Last bumped on Apr 8, 2022, 11:16:32 PM

this already exists via bestiary, and before bestiary, eternal orbs. Creating an "imprint" of an item in time before you mess with it.
What you describe is, quite literally, the OG crafting system in PoE With all the new ways to craft, this would be probably the most OP mechanic ever (re)introduced. Harvest on steroids...players would basically have zero risk of bricking an item. Last edited by jsuslak313#7615 on Apr 2, 2022, 4:30:55 PM

The way i see this guys idea is that "rewind orbs" would be an "undo" which would go back once (you chaos orb an item 3 times, then you rewind orb and it goes back as if youd only chaos twice), the "imprint" is a save state not a undo, so these work differently.
