Projectiles return to you and Chaining question
I am loving Divergent Lightning Trap but I have question. It is kind of hard to see but does the Returning of projectile still happen after chaining?
I assume it goes like this. Projectile hits, chain once or twice on target, and then return to me? Does Faster Projectile make projectile go further or just faster or both? Last bumped on Mar 14, 2022, 12:13:54 PM

Projectile behaviours do not interfere with another but occur in sequence (unless they always pierce, in which case the behaviours after pierce are never considered).
The order is split -> pierce -> fork -> chain -> return. If the projectile does not hit an enemy while it has a remaining chain, it will not return. Projectiles that have used up their last chain will return. Incidentally, projectiles have different lists of enemies hit that prevents shotgunning and chaining to the same enemy for before and after they started returning. Most projectiles have a lifetime rather than a range, so increased projectile speed will make them go further within that time. They disappear if they reach a distance of over 150 units from your character because enemies at that range are not calculated. I would assume that projectiles from a trap return to the location of the trap rather than you, but I do not have any reference for this. |

"Well that's a good answer but projectile speed/lifetime part is vise versa. Most projectiles has no lifetime and dissaper after 150 units traveling, only few have lifetime. So projectile speed only makes projectiles travel faster, not futher. Last edited by MonaHuna#6449 on Mar 14, 2022, 12:14:32 PM
