About that "good" Atlas rework
|
The only good thing about new Atlas is that every map eventually will become T16.
The rework is awful overall. With watchstones and divided Atlas regions you had a huge flexibility about what content you want to do. In case if you got tired/bored with your current setup, you could just swap your current watchstones and you're good to go. Now, if you're not happy with your current Atlas tree you have to buy or farm orbs of Unmaking and if you decided to do completely different content, you'll need A LOT of these orbs. For example, if I tired of running expedition encounters and Immortal Syndicate missions over and over and I want to run some Eihnar/Metamorph/Blight/Whatever is on complete opposite side of Atlas tree, I need to refund A LOT of points, I can't just jump into another region and swap some watchstones like it was before. resetting the atlas definitely needs to be less painful i think with it being essentially account wide if you for example invest into abyss early on but switch builds and want to invest in another mechanic you will get your gear from you cant without a significant cost.
if anything i'd just say make orbs of unmaking a bit easier to get and as i was typing this i checked the current price and its at around 2 chaos per orb of unmaking!? that seems a little high. Innocence forgives you

" Can't imagine the situation in SSF leagues, where you literally tied to your current Atlas setup unless you have a dozens of orbs. I do believe there will be some kind of cluster jewels to add some flexibility, but in that case there shouldn't been a rework in the first place. Same dish different plate. Also I'm still confused about how this works. Cadiro was deleted from the game entirely, but we can keep perandus coins? For what purpose? Why we can't keep watchstones then? |

Or you can just level a new account? I think this is their intention.

altas rework awful?
sorry hard disagree. for sure you need to eat more orbs if u wanna respec the atlas. sure its "easier" to reset before the rework, but that said, having the passives apply to the entire atlas rather than one region is a huge QoL. [Removed by Support]

" I understand that's a huge deal for kind of people who loves to run Tower or Beach maps all day, but I'm not really impressed, like, there was a good or at least decent maps in any region. |

I will have to disagree with that.
Using orbs of unmaking to respec you atlas passives tree is intended. By going in the middle section of the Atlas, you can go anywhere without respecing a lot of point. You just can't do everything simultaneously. Farming orbs of unmaking is easy with a good reward setup even in low white maps (range of 10 to 25 in 30 maps) Buying orbs from Kirac is easy also if you don't use your chance orbs to roll for uniques. Path of Exile is a Casino for gambling addicts.
Gambling is not fun nor a game mechanic... |

" lol why would you ever buy orb of unmaking for more than 2 regret orbs? kirac sells orb of unmaking for 2 regrets |

Respeccing is supposed to be expensive so people don't change for every single map or whatever.
With the previous atlas skill trees I spec'd into and out of sirus's bonuses every time he came up because it wasn't expensive enough to not respec. Украина в моём сердце

Some watchstones were upwards of 10 ex. Most good t1s for popular strategies were 5ex plus. The 4 ritual altars one still gives me nightmares, shouldn't have tried to roll that one...
As of now 1ex is 30 orbs of unmaking and unless you are switching on the left/right axis you simply aren't using more than 60 points. Do the math. |
