Menagerie limit problem

imho, dev time isn't the issue here.

it's the willingness of players to spend the 10 minutes necessary to separate the beast they want in the menagery and save it into their stash.

spending 10 minutes to save ~3 exalteds.

you're really complaining here to even save those 10 minutes?
age and treachery will triumph over youth and skill!
Personally I don't make 3 ex or more per 10 minutes, so yes it'd be nice to be changed.

Well, if its intentional its backwards design. While i can see it as "old school write on papper and stuff" i think its more often than not felt as just clunky/unwieldy for no reason similar to archnemesis ui stuff. Maybe they could shift difficulty of unwieldy to some more pleasant other difficulty?

It's like, ggg would decide to nerf flasks with the following: flasks buttons now are changed and locked to 1 2 4 5 6 and clicking 3 crashes the game.

Edit: on second thought i probably shouldnt advocate for anything here due to not interacting much with it..

where those 10 min coming from?

To sort 1k beasts its more like 5-8h of very unpleasant time.

didn't do bestiary extensively but when i got a beast like for the saquawal fight portals or the split recipe, i buy the storage item from einhar, note down the name of the respective alpha animal, go the the cage and trap it.

it's usually just one animal you have to trap, doesn't take long.

Ok now try to run 60 map fully buffed with beast three.
Let me know how much time you gonna spend on loading screens every time u got at least farric wolf or something useful like that.

And after all when u decid to actually use your beasts you still need to clean up.
And you cant use your beasts couse all yellow beasts was replaced by red beasts.
And now you need to run more maps to capture yellow beasts.
And if you build one shoting 2 screens you still gonna capture all the red.

Can you see the problem here?
We talking about prioritizing beast farm with atlas three and scarabs and not random encounter.

looks like ggg tries to make the extreme usage of one mechanic uncomfortable :)

if you saved away all the beasts you want, just do recipes to empty the menagerie and then buy 50 of those containers from einhar, dump red beasts in there and throw them away.

there should be opportunity costs for all rewarding mechanics, if it's not too complicated, everybody would do it.

would it help you if beasts were more agressive if you stored many in the menagerie?

I'm surprised anyone except the rich care about Bestiary since GGG closed the beastcrafting imprinting loop.

Are beasts really worth grinding for nowadays? I can't imagine most if any are worth the time and effort anymore.
PoE players: Our game has a wide diversity of builds.

Also PoE players: The [league mechanic] doesn't need to be nerfed, you just need to play a [current meta] build!

But all useful recopies required 1 red and 3 yellow bests. Atlas juiced map with gilded scarab on average yield almost 50%-50% yellow/red beasts in the long term.

So you will end up with no yellow and tons of crap red beasts any way.
Which is a big problem if you not selling your red beast and using it to craft gear.

Ofc, best craft is starting point for many powerful end game items.
Where all this +2 spells and t1hp amulets came from?
And many many more op items. It's beast craft+harvest. The most valued thing is imprint and split.
