Chinese players are banned from logging in
ggg, hello, I am a player from China, 2022/03/04/ noon time to open my computer to open the game shows that you have been suspended by the administrator for violating the terms of use, I have been in support@grindinggear.com sent an email, they said they can only wait for your senior staff to deal with, I myself have limited English skills within the game has If this is the reason, please understand.
I have been waiting for 2 days and the above ban is still pending. Banned accounts can't post and emails are sent, I don't know what to do anymore. (the above English from deepl Chinese English translation translation) Last bumped on Mar 7, 2022, 3:54:07 PM

Hey there, Fairyascc.
As mentioned, I'm afraid we aren't able to assist with bans or ban appeals via Support and you will need to wait for a response from the accounts investigation team. I'm sorry for any inconvenience the wait may cause!
" This account you are posting from isn't banned or locked. If you are Chinese, I assume you are ONLY allowed to use the Tencent version of the game and not the "public" version. This could be the reason they have blocked access to your account. However if your account is really banned, then a BAN appeal have to be started BY YOU by logging into this website and go to --> "Home - My account" and press the BAN APPEAL link. There you have to put in all information relevant to your appeal = everything you want GGG to consider when processing your appeal. |

If you are Chinese, using VPN this action itself is illegal in Mainland China
That also mean you are likely to share ip with other RMT-banned player so that the system false positive to also ban you Either fled the country or accept the status of China This is the start of forum signature: I am not a GGG employee. About the username: Did you know Kowloon Gundam is made in Neo Hong Kong?
quote from the first page: "Please post one thread per issue, and check the forum for similar posts first" This is the end of forum signature |

" Tencent game version, the environment is terrible. That's all I can say. The content of my complaint: I am surprised, why, I am a normal player. The rest of the appeal message was sent without making it very clear. |

" 1000 people did the same thing and said only a few of them were guilty. Friendly people will only comfort you with "misfortune". I even think it may be just ridicule. Executives spend weeks investigating your account and claim to be very hard, serious and respectful, but they just can't communicate with you for even a minute. China is far from so dark and suffocating. Why escape? I don't play the Tencent version of Poe because the Tencent version is really a few years late, and my account in the international service before is not empty. - reply to him like this!Brother。 haha
I came up with another wild guess about the recent banwave:)
Problem: 1) GGG hates awakened POE trade because it overloads their public trade api host at least. 2) GGG has lawful right to straight up ban everyone using it, due to nazi ToS leaving players defenseless, and from ToS, GGG doesn't even have to explain any bans. The current 3 words in ban reason is actually a huge courtesy from them. 3) But the reason of awakened POE trade's popularity is GGG's own inability to make official trade interface comfortable, every serious player and their dog are using some trade helper software. Solution (hypothesis): 1) Set a firewall treshold for trade api traffic per minute/hour/whatever, and auto ban those who exceed it in real-time. 2) Intentionally drag an "investigation", to a maximum possible 30 days or around it, which would surprise no one by now, then unban them without saying a word. Profit: 1) trade api load reduced 2) people are discouraged from using trade software 3) GGG deftly avoids the topic of who exactly is responsible for creating the current situation around trading in the first place. Losses: 1) people are insulted - bah, who cares, they breached ToS. __________________ Maybe someday one of my stupid and provocative posts would actually cause a response and shed some light on the situation. Or they ban me too, just because they can :) |

" They already have this in place --> when an IP exceeds allowed packets to the API, the IP is then rate limited.... As I see it, this is step 1 in the later BAN process / investigation..... Last edited by HanSoloDK#4843 on Mar 7, 2022, 3:54:31 PM
