Players have the option of not playing in areas that will kill their characters. It's PoE's difficulty slider. You've pushed yourself too far if you're dying routinely.

You are right if its their choice to engage with difficult content like they are running modded maps but the truth is most dangerous things in PoE are arbitrary gates and player mistakes which are hard to fix without coaching or self analysis.

I think they'd be better served by making more monsters stagger their attacks though as well as making them hit more reliably for much less damage if tehy actually wanted to address the spikey nature.

Which of course they don't its spikey by design.
