New PC can finally run PoE on max settings without lag spikes

I see a lot of posts asking what hardware is actually capable of achieving this. As such, I wanted to post my setup to serve as an example.

I can run the game on 1440p resolution on a 34” curved monitor and full settings, maintaining FPS > 60 while playing a minion build (including in heavy packs). Other than making sure nVidia power settings are tuned to “High Performance”, I have not overclocked anything or made any changes to the game files (including sound files). Specs are as follows:

CPU: Intel i9-12900K cooler with 3-Fan watercooler
GPU: nVidia 3080 Ti (x1)
RAM: 32GB (16+16) DDR5 @ 6000 mHz
MoBo: MSI Pro Z690
Memory: WD SSD M.2 x 1TB @ 6GB/s (mobo provides a heatsinked socket for this)
PSU: Corsair 1000W 80+ Platinum

All in all, this is a ~$5000 build that is overkill under any circumstance, but it seems to compensate for any lackluster coding in the game.

Nice. Grats on your new toy. Should last at least 5 years, if not 10.
chuckled at lackluster coding.

Have you tried a fully juiced 100% delirious map? I hear they still manage to get any computer to single digit frame rates.

Corrected: A F2P game runs without lag on a 5 grand PC...

Test a 100% Delirium with triple Beyond, Alva, Breachs and Harbingers.

(I hope you kept the invoice, as you may need the warranty XD)

This is one of the most poorly optimized games ever made. It's ironic that GGG has purely cosmetic MTX as a source of income, but most players need to play at very low resolutions and disable all visual effects...

Try a cyclone CwC Ice Storm + Divergent Frost Bomb with awakened Spell Cascade and Wintertide Totems using Frostblink as a movement skill. Far more laggy than a minion build.

Btw
Your Pc almost is as good as my notebook.
