Magma Barrier too strong

Over 5000 life, over 13000 phys defense, capped 75% fire resist, and still a single orb from the Magma Barrier nemesis mod is a one-shot death waiting to happen. The fact that it sends multiple orbs at once, every 10-15 seconds, makes this mod extrodinarily hard. Even more complex mods like Aberath-Touched or Brine-King Touched are not one-shotting me like this.

Add that barrier seems to refresh far to frequently, and it can lead to a nearly invinicible monster. Particularly if you use physical or fire damage types. I was using a skeleton summonning build, and even with the vaal hoard summoned, I couldn't deal any noticable damage to it when I could take down other nemesis at the same tier without any issues. I would see the 'explosion' going off regularly indicating the barrier breaks, but then nothing indicating any further damage to the creature's life... just another barrier break explosion a short time later, so it got it's barrier back somehow, repeatedly with little downtime, while getting beat on by my skeletons the entire time.

I can't imagine how a more direct damage build could even try this. Let up for a second and you have no chance to break the barrier, but you MUST let up quite often to avoid the multiple balls of instant death.

I completely agree. I just delete them now.
I also find this mod overpowered. It is now a regular empowerment for magic monsters. At high level it is very deadly. In general magic power is way too powerful at high levels even with maxed resistances.
i just had a combination corrupter and magma and it was impossible to handle. At the end my life flask with removing corr. blood was empty, because no chance to refill flask. Sorry, but this mod is kind of ridicolous and roulette. Not to mention it was in delve, where it is not possible to just run away an leave em alone. I was a second too late to end the game and lost 10% exp. These are the moments when I really think, things are quite bad balanced here ... making super hard mods as challenge for some few op builds of some few ppl that have or invest currency in insane items. I accepted already that some uber bosses and content is extra ordinary. But having such op mods in quite normal game constellations is a bad experience and cost real experience..
Yeah they should maybe remove Archnemesis or something...

You typed that you have low life, low phys defence, low fire res, do low dmg to monster and mechanic that is super easy to dodge can rip your character, how you can even be hit by it?

I just read all comments. Seriously, you all have problems with magma barrier?
