Bug 230.425.560: boots with "drop xyz ground" eldritch implicit deletes the entire animate guardian.

So I had saved up a lot of items for equipping my animate guardian. I finally had currency to buy a 20/20 divergent one and I was starting to equip my items.

I went to act 1 coast and started dropping my items one by one and used the spell.

I had these items prepared:

I am not super rich, so all in all I think these items were worth combined about 5-6 ex (2ish the gloves, 2.5 the helm, 40c the axe, 20 or so c the boots, 10c the chest), so it is relatively substantial for me. 5-6 ex is not something I farm in half an hour.

While I did not pay attention while rising my guardian (I have done that a lot in the past), after I had all items used up I was wondering why my minions did not have fortify stacks.

I then noticed my guardian did not have any boots and also did not have any weapon.

I have dropped and risen the items in order: Weapon -> boots -> helm -> chest -> gloves (not sure about the last three, but very sure about the first two).

I also went to the mine encampment to ensure it is not just a visual bug, and nope, it was not. guardian only has helm, chest, gloves. no boots, no weapon.

so I was a bit pissed but I thought Ok I have some leftover currency, let's buy some new boots (because they are relatively cheap, and definitely cheaper than the axe). I bought these (https://i.imgur.com/KvXdH8z.png - still had the trade window open as of writing this post), and I also have some eldritch currency left over so I rolled again a bit and ended up with drop brittle ground while moving.

so I went again to the coast and tried to use the guardian again on the boots, and poof my entire, 5-6ex worth of gear guardian was gone.


TL;DR So I can say with relative certainty, that using animate guardian on boots with "drop xyz ground while moving" eldritch implicit deletes the entire guardian.


P.S.: I assume that those items cannot be restored and I am basically fucked and have to farm another ~6ex to equip my guardian... right? Right.

The boots - they grant chaos resistance. That is enough to kill minions if you are wearing Fleshcrafter.

GGG doesn't offer any kind of ingame refunds or restores for any reason.....

no worries, as I have now learned that I am stupid anyways and it is no bug to begin with but it was my dumbfuck inability to read.
