Optimal Skeleton Mage Helm Crafting Guide

reading up on the conclusion of all this I can only conclude to myself that I am glad I went for a semi budget EA(super budget compared to minions) approach landing at around 11m steady sirus dps with plenty of room to improve and as a bonus I never have to worry about specters, guardian or any such things that previously chased me away from minions :)

Regardless I applaud the people willing to go through these tests. My flawed brain can handle the crafting but not the calculations.

PoE craft is a nightmare that only the insane can figure out. It makes the complexity of Eve Online pale in comparison... at least there you get what you design for.

agree 100%. this is why i never craft and just buy things

Its fun, especially this current eldritch ember crafting system. You can make some pretty damn good items with quite good control using them, if you arent playing with it youre missing out

I tried this crafting method and threw it at Step 6 Wrong mod selected 7 times in a row (~4ex for nothing). i also use Grand Eldritch Ichors total cost ~3ex.
Crafting in this game is an endless waste of resources into the void and a complete disappointment.

The first line in such topics should be the minimum amount of exalts to start!!!

It is not like anyone is going to start a 15+Ex craft if they only have 15Ex. Basically you have to already have not needed this helm to get to 100+Ex then decided you really need this helm. Most players that have enough cash to craft this without excessive risk to their stash don't need to craft it.

So why would anyone craft this?

Streaming or YT content - yep.
Profit - have to get lucky and there are easier ways of making money, that you already know because you have enough money to reasonably try and craft it for profit, holy paradox Jim.

I'm lost at the Bestiary stuff alone. You can buy beasts? I even played that league and I still don't get it. I just run in and see if I have cool recipes. When I realize, I still don't have cool recipes, I leave.

I never skip an Einar mission either. Just don't get it. Crafting is painful.

You can buy an item from Einhar that allows you to take a beast you've captured and place it in the item. Then you can trade the item.

Or, buy the beast/item you need from somebody else and place the beast in your own Bestiary.

They added Bestiary Orbs about two weeks into Bestiary league, so they've pretty much been there the whole time. :)
