Crash to desktop when hovering over item on the ground

When I tried hovering over a metamorph organ on the ground to pick it up, the game crashed to the desktop with the following message:  Another player joined my map and experienced the same issue. I just had the same error in a Guardian of the Phoenix map. I was using a polished metamorph scarab. I managed to pick up the first one but the second one repeatedly gives this crash.

I am getting the same issue, I had just killed a Metamorph and went to grab all the loot (scarabs, the organ, etc) when this error popped up. Tried approaching from a few directions and same error.
